Chromite Flotation

Chromite Flotation for Fine Chrome Recovery

MetSoP provides an integrated chromite flotation solution using MetFloat CSD8 and MetFloat NSCF10.
The reagent combination is developed to support chromite flotation in the presence of gangue slimes and improve the recovery of fine chrome particles.
Addressing Slimes and Fine Chrome Losses

Fine chromite particles can be difficult to recover, particularly when gangue slimes are present.

Slimes may coat mineral surfaces, interfere with collector attachment and reduce flotation selectivity. This can result in valuable chromite reporting to tailings.

An effective solution requires control of the slimes while maintaining the conditions needed for fine chromite recovery.

The MetSoP Chromite Flotation Solution

MetFloat CSD8

Developed to help manage gangue slimes and support selective chromite flotation under challenging feed conditions.

MetFloat NSCF10

A specialised collector developed to support the recovery of fine chromite particles.

MetFloat CSD8 and MetFloat NSCF10 are applied as a combined reagent solution. Dosages and operating conditions are adjusted according to the ore, slimes content and flotation circuit.
