Flocculants & Coagulants

Flocculants and Coagulants for Better Separation

MetSoP provides flocculants, coagulants and dispersants designed to support settling, clarification, dewatering and the management of fine particles.
Our product selection considers particle characteristics, mineralogy, water chemistry and operating conditions to identify the most suitable treatment approach.

Our Product Range

Flocculants

Flocculants bring fine particles together to form larger flocs that settle more efficiently.

The MetFloc range supports:

  • Faster settling
  • Clearer overflow
  • Improved thickener performance
  • More effective solid liquid separation
  • Improved downstream dewatering

Our range includes MetFloc 1035 and other formulations developed for different process conditions.

Coagulants

Coagulants neutralise the surface charge of fine particles, allowing them to come together more easily.

They can support water clarification and fine particle removal, particularly where suspended material is difficult to settle.

The MetFloc coagulant range includes MetFloc 1045 and MetFloc 1048.

Dispersants

Dispersants help keep fine particles separated and suspended, preventing unwanted aggregation within the process.

The CSD range, including CSD8 and CSD13, is used to support the management of slimes, clay and other fine particle systems.

Matched to Your Process Conditions

Flocculant and coagulant performance depends on several factors, including:

  • Particle and grain size
  • Mineral composition
  • Solids concentration
  • Water chemistry
  • Product dosage
  • Mixing and addition conditions
  • Thickener or filtration requirements

MetSoP can evaluate product performance through laboratory testing and on-site technical support to help identify a suitable product and dosage.
